Its chemical formula is Na₃KAl₄Si₄O₁₆, with a hexagonal crystal structure, primarily found in alkaline rocks associated with syenite. It typically appears colorless or white, and is characterized by high aluminum, low silica, and high alkali content (Na₂O + K₂O).
